Colorado considers appliance energy efficiency standards bill
Colorado’s General Assembly is considering a bill specifying that commercial dishwashers, fryers, hot food holding cabinets and steam cookers, along with a variety of other devices, must meet or exceed U.S. Department of Energy (DOE) ENERGY STAR° and/or WaterSense requirements to be sold in the state after Jan. 1, 2021. NAFEM is closely monitoring this situation and will submit comments on behalf of the industry once the process is outlined.
