Amplifying Members’ Voices

NAFEM regularly joins forces with other organizations to advance the industry’s perspective with elected and appointed officials. Highlights of recent outreach include: 

• NAFEM joined multiple organizations representing hundreds of U.S. manufacturers advocating for the continuation of Energy Star^® as an example of an effective, non-regulatory program and partnership between the government and the private sector. In a letter to EPA Administrator Lee Zeldin, the group said, “Working together, we can build on the success of the Energy Star program to reduce unnecessary burden and preserve consumer choice in products with the features and performance they expect.” NAFEM also reached out to Zeldin individually, offering to work with the staff to “keep the program performing at a high level to continue demonstrating what can be accomplished when government and business work together.”
