Washington state approves HFC-reduction bill

The Washington State Legislature has approved a hydrofluorocarbon (HFC) reduction bill (HB1112) based on the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency’s Significant New Alternatives Policy (EPA SNAP). The bill is similar to that passed by California earlier this year. Initial requirements take effect Jan. 1, 2020. Additional requirements roll-out through Jan. 1, 2024.
