CA considers promoting new refrigerant technologies
California Senate Bill 1013 currently before the general assembly would promote the adoption of new refrigerant technologies – including low-global-warming-potential refrigerants – to achieve continued energy efficient and climate benefits. If approved, the bill would create the Fluorinated Gases Emission Reduction Program to be administered by the California Air Resources Board (CARB). The bill was introduced by Senator Ricardo Lara (D, 33rd District) and co-authored by senators Henry Stern (D, 27th District) and Scott Weiner (D, 11th District).
