NAFEM presents 2019 Carpenter’s Award

NAFEM congratulates Lawrence P. Moon, CFSP, chairman & CEO, The Sandstone Group and Lakeside Manufacturing, Inc., West Milwaukee, Wis., recipient of the 2019 NAFEM William W. Carpenter’s Award. 

The award was presented during The NAFEM Show, Feb. 6, Orange County Convention Center, Orlando, Fla. The William W. Carpenter Award is the association’s highest honor, given to a foodservice industry professional who has continually contributed to NAFEM’s success and to the enrichment of the industry for more than 20 years.

A 25+-year industry veteran, Moon has held a wide variety of roles with NAFEM, including committee member, committee chair and board member. He served two terms on the board of directors, was a member of the Finance & Audit Committee and served as chair of The NAFEM Show in 2005. He was instrumental in assisting the association with technology-related projects, including bar coding, programming, database development and IT strategies.
