NAFEM membership in SBLC advances voice of small business
More than 28 million small businesses make up 99.7% of all U.S. firms, according to the Small Business and Entrepreneurship Council. To help ensure their future, the Small Business Legislative Council (SBLC) brings together trade and professional associations, including NAFEM and MAFSI, that share a common concern for small business. SBLC works to increase the influence of small business on legislative and federal policy issues. It also provides information on the impact of public policy on small business.
Today, SBLC is concentrated on efforts to secure economic relief for small businesses from the COVID-10 pandemic. In other times, it also addresses topics such as taxes, liability insurance, budget, antitrust enforcement, employment issues, government procurement, environment, establishment of a small business voice in Washington, and venture capital and other financing mechanisms.
