U.S. ranks high on assessment of where to locate production facilities
A new study by KPMG and the Manufacturing Institute compares the cost of doing business in the U.S. with 16 other leading manufacturing exporter countries. It found that primary costs (compensation, property, utilities, taxes and interest rates) in the U.S. average 16% higher than in the other markets, yet the U.S. is still the fifth best country for manufacturing businesses.
