Machine customers will drive trillions in business

With ever more smart devices connected to the internet, processors will increasingly make business decisions. One example that is not far off, according to Gartner, is an autonomous car that will know when it has a flat tire, find the nearest repair shop, book a service and send the store all the relevant details about itself. While initially limited to clearly defined choices, machines will eventually execute buying decisions on their own. By 2030, Gartner believes at least 25% of all consumer purchases and business replenishment request will be substantially delegated to machines.
