Spring Unified Agenda details Fall issue dates for pending rules
The latest semiannual Unified Agenda points to dates the Department of Energy (DOE) anticipates issuing final energy-conservation standards impacting the commercial food service equipment and supplies industry. According to the document, Automatic Commercial Ice Maker (ACIM) standards are expected in September and standards for Commercial Refrigeration Equipment (CRE) and Walk-in Coolers/Freezers (WIC/F) should be released in November. California considers defunding Public Purpose Programs
If approved by the Senate, California AB 3264 would require the state’s Energy Commission to review all feasible options to allocate costs of the state’s electrical grid to taxpayers. The bill, which passed the California Assembly, threatens to eliminate Public Purpose Programs that lower taxpayers’ bills, support equitable decarbonization and environmental justice, and serve low-income, small businesses and other hard-to-reach communities.
