Amplifying Members’ Voices

NAFEM regularly joins forces with other organizations to advance the industry’s perspective with elected and appointed officials. Highlights of recent outreach include:

  • NAFEM joined numerous nationwide and California-based organizations in urging the state Senate to vote no on SB 682 that would further ban PFAS in the state. “The bill ignores science, stifles consumer choice, costs more money, damages the economy and does nothing to improve public health.”
  • NAFEM, along with 60-plus other associations, reached out to leaders on the House Committee on Environment and Public Works and Senate Committee on Transportation & Infrastructure, along with all U.S. senators and representatives, committing to work collaboratively on a new surface transportation law to help build the system necessary to drive economic prosperity.
  • NAFEM joined 100+ organizations representing America’s largest manufacturers urging Congress to address needed improvements and clarifications to the Toxic Substances Control Act (TSCA).
