NAFEM regularly joins forces with other organizations to advance the industry’s perspective with elected and appointed officials. Highlights of recent outreach include:

- NAFEM and more than 50 associations wrote to the Chairman and Ranking Member of the Senate Committee on Environmental & Public Works endorsing the nomination of Douglas M. Troutman as the assistant administrator for the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency’s (EPA) Office of Chemical Safety and Pollution Prevention (OCSPP).
- NAFEM joined more than 60 organizations in support of the Cooperative Agreement between the South Coast Air Quality Management District (SCAQMD) and the cities and ports of Los Angeles and Long Beach. “This framework supports the region’s clean-air goals without harming the economic vitality of the ports and the livelihoods of the nearly 1 million Southern Californians who rely on trade and logistics.”
