HFC phasedown deadlines relaxed
The Trump administration announced revisions to the Environmental Protection Agency’s (EPA) 2023 Technology Transitions Rule, extending compliance deadlines for the use of certain hydrofluorocarbons (HFCs). The changes expand the range of refrigerants available to businesses while meeting statutory requirements under the American Innovation and Manufacturing (AIM) Act for manufacturers, supermarkets and HVAC companies transitioning away from higher-GWP HFC refrigerants. EPA also provided a summary fact sheet.
CRE, WIC/F energy conservation standards proposals work continues
