Amplifying Members’ Voices

NAFEM regularly works with other organizations to advance the industry’s perspective with elected and appointed officials. Recently, NAFEM:

  • Joined 50 other associations in urging the U.S. Department of Homeland Security (DHS) and CBP to use the established notice-and-comment rulemaking process when making changes to the current import procedures.
  • Encouraged congressional leaders to preserve FY 2026 funding for continued investment in the nation’s transportation infrastructure, which is critical to supporting commerce.
  • Participated in a coalition of nearly 400 manufacturers, agricultural businesses, service companies and other organizations in advocating for long-term reauthorization of the Export-Import Bank of the United States (EXIM) with members of Congress. “EXIM is an essential tool that helps American exporters compete globally and level the playing field.”
  • Advocated, along with 41 other associations, for the Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) to follow through on its proposal to rescind its 2024 Climate-Related Disclosure Rule.
