Urge Congress to Support the Heat Workforce Standards Act

The Heat Workforce Standards Act (H.R. 6213) is moving forward in Congress and could have direct implications for NAFEM members with manufacturing operations. The bill would block Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) from finalizing or enforcing its proposed federal heat standard, which would establish new requirements for indoor and outdoor workplaces beginning at a heat index of 80°F. With the bill now eligible for consideration by the full House, NAFEM members can communicate their support to elected officials via the Advocacy Action Center.
