Support H.R. 8147 and S. 4297 to Repeal the Corporate Transparency Act
As of January 1, 2024, the Corporate Transparency Act (CTA), requires most small and medium-sized businesses to comply with a new federal reporting obligation. The CTA mandates the reporting of beneficial ownership information to the Financial Crimes Enforcement Network (FinCEN), targeting financial crimes such as money laundering and tax fraud. This creates an undue burden on all businesses and should be repealed in its entirety.
