Proposed aluminum extrusion antidumping and countervailing duties denied 

In an unexpected move, the U.S. International Trade Commission (ITC) issued a negative determination regarding countervailing and anti-dumping duties on imports of aluminum extrusions from China, Colombia, Ecuador, India, Indonesia, Italy, Malaysia, Mexico, South Korea, Taiwan, Thailand, Turkey, United Arab Emirates, and Vietnam. Cases against these nations will be terminated and the U.S. Customs and Border Protection is refunding all duties collected. 

USTR opens portal for temporary exemptions for manufacturing machinery 

The USTR portal is open for submitting temporary exclusion requests from Section 301 China import tariffs for certain machinery used in domestic manufacturing. The Federal Register Notice includes a list of eligible subheadings. The deadline for submitting requests is March 31, 2025. The process allows responses to individual exclusions requests 30 days after the request is filed on USTR’s portal; any replies to the responses are due 15 days later. USTR will periodically issue decisions on pending requests.  

Corporate Transparency Act compliance deadline approaching
